Stratham Fair 5.7 Road Race…
THE CHALLENGE IS ON…back again this year the Stratham Fair 5.7 mile Road Race is having a “friendly “competition at the road race between Coastal Athletic Association and Winner’s Circle. Points are awarded for the top 5 finishers in each age group…and we want YOU! to come join us so we can take home the WINNING TEAM crown this year. “Club Race”…This year we have picked one race we are calling the ”club race”…which basically means we are encouraging you to run the race and join us afterwards for some socializing at a local establishment.(TBD)! This year’s race will be the Thunder Chicken 5k, which will be held on Thursday, August 2nd…http://www.portsmouthrotary.org/
One of our members, George Pierce, who passed away a few years ago was the founder of the Thunder Chicken and Race Director for many years….he would be proud that we are making this a “club” event.

Cape Ann 25k…
Over the past few years a group of us have carpooled to this race, which starts/ends in Gloucester, MA. Once again, we will gather to ride down together to one of the nicest races in New England. Check it out, register and then let us know if you are planning on running and we will add you to the carpool list.
We will be putting together some teams for Lake Winnipausaukee Relays…which will be held on Saturday, September 8th. A few years ago, the club went we 3 teams and had lots of fun….if you are interested in being on a team or being a team captain(you would coordinate the running legs and food), please email Sybil at sybil.carven@comcast.net. Kittery Seaside 4 miler…When was the last time you ran in Maine? Now is your chance to enjoy the beautiful sights of Kittery Point and enjoy a great race as well as support one of our members who is the co-race director (hint: her name is Sybil)! Join us on Sunday, September 23rd at 8:30am for the Kittery Seaside 4 miler. There will be a 4 mile run, 2.5 mile walk and a kids fun run…along with live music, environmental education programs and other great post race activities. Newburyport 10 miler course run…last year we ran the Newburyport 10 miler course the week before the race, that isn’t going to happen this year but we are working on running that particular course on another evening this summer…stay tuned.

Our weekly runs have something for everyone….
Monday nights: BG’s Boathouse, Rt. 1B, 6pm…4-6 miles! There is also a group that meets at Redhook Brewery from a variety of local clubs at 6pm.
Tuesday nights: Track workouts at the Portsmouth High School, 6:15 warmup, 6:30 workout starts
Thursday nights: Runner’s Alley 6pm 4-5 miles…
Saturday mornings: 8am Runner’s Alley, 4,6 or 8 mile options, a variety of paces!
